A library is a room
where the whole world listens.

I started building for the web when I was a teenager, and I have not really stopped. Over the years I have been a designer, a developer, a publisher, a studio lead, a founder — and through all of it, a reader. The first things I ever shipped were magazines. The last thing I shipped, before Pocket, was 20 Watt, the studio where I kept my hands in design and engineering work across publishing, AI, and infrastructure.

What kept gnawing at me was a simple observation. People love to read. People love to talk about what they read. People carry a phone everywhere — and that phone is usually a Telegram window. And yet the tools we give readers are stuck a decade behind: walled gardens, closed formats, AI bolted on as a feature instead of woven into the experience.

“I wanted to build a library that talked back. Not in a gimmicky way. In the way a friend does, when you tell them what you are reading, and they say — ‘oh, wait until you get to chapter three.’”

So we built kaOS first — a multilingual operating system for digital reading, authorship, and AI-powered publishing. From kaOS came Sovereign Intelligence, the personal AI runtime that powers Pocket’s understanding of what you are reading. From kaOS came The Chronicle, our living literary journal that finishes itself in code and prose — Our Earth, an Aeonari-encoded story fifty-six million years in the making. From kaOS came Consilience Press, the imprint, where the books we publish become a permanent record.

And then, finally, we built Pocket. Pocket is the small front door to all of that. It is the messenger pouch that fits in your phone, that holds the whole library, and that you can take anywhere.
